Pre-season Training

SBMC baseball is offering pre-season training starting the week of Jan 14-March 11, 2019 as follows:

Mondays at Nelson Elementary gym (5:15PM-7PM) – open to all 13U (born 2006 & 2007) and 15U (born 2004 & 2005) players

Wednesdays at Lakeview Elementary gym (5:30PM-7PM) – open to all 9U (born 2010 & 2011) players

Fridays at Nelson Elementary gym (5:15PM-7PM) – open to all 11U (born in 2008 & 2009) players

Registration is done online and open Jan 1-12, 2019. Select the ’REGISTER ONLINE" icon on the left side of the home page.

Each clinic will be limited to 12-14 players depending on age group.

In-person registrations

SBMC Baseball will be offering in-person registration sessions:

Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:30AM-12PM
Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 10:30AM-12PM

Location: SBMC clubhouse – south side of Bonsor recreation center (entrance off the Central Blvd parking lot)

Acceptable forms of payment: credit cards, cheques, cash

Submission of volunteer fee and uniform deposits (two separate post-dated cheques made payable to SBMC) during registration is greatly appreciated.

Online registration open!

As of Monday November 19, 2018 the online registration system for South Burnaby baseball will be open!

Please read the online forms carefully as they are slightly different from previous years.

To register online, simply click on the following link:
or click the “Register Online” icon on the left hand side of the home page.

Early bird discounts are offered now until Jan 1, 2019.

Registration for the spring season will close on February 28, 2019.

Volunteer fees will now be in the form of a cheque collected at an in-person registration or uniform distribution. Please read “REGISTRATION” → “IN PERSON REGISTRATION” or “FEES” for more information.

Please note: SBMC baseball is still a member of BC Baseball Association and therefore, will honor the playing boundaries as set by BCBA. Any player(s) who resides outside of SBMC baseball’s catchment, but wishing to register with SBMC baseball, will need a release from his/her home association. For information on boundaries:

The South Burnaby Metro Club is introducing an online clothing store so players, friends, family and fans are able to purchase apparel to show your pride and support.

Having trouble finding the perfect gift for Christmas? Look no further: to kick off the opening of this online store, every purchase is on sale at 10% off.

You must act quickly though: the store is open now but only until November 26th to ensure products are ready in time before Christmas.

There are clothing options for SBMC as well as all three SBMC sports programs – baseball, basketball and soccer.
The SBMC option is offered for those who participate in more than one sports program.

Come out and support or become a member of South Burnaby baseball’s board at this year’s AGM: Friday Oct 19, 2018 at 7PM in the SBMC Clubhouse.

Positions open: chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary.

Coordinators are also needed for the following divisions: bantam (15U), peewee (13U), mosquito (11U), tadpole (9U), t-ball (7U), blastball (5U).

Any ideas you’d like to bring to the table? Consider being a member-at-large.

Board meetings are held about once a month.

Volunteers make up the club and keep it functioning. All registered families residing in South Burnaby are welcome to join us in helping shape the upcoming year.
